My son apparently has a new favorite word, and that word is stinky. It doesn’t matter what I say is stinky: the cat, his diaper, our house, his feet, Daddy — he lights up like the fourth of July and laughs his little tushie off.
It’s much easier to interact with him now that he recognizes my face and sort of likes looking at it. Sure, he doesn’t understand a word I’m saying, (as evidenced by his adoration of the word ‘stinky’) but he makes eye contact, smiles and coos. That’s as good as responding, in my book.
Today I’m over at KLZ’s blog, Taming Insanity, and most of you already know her, but if you don’t, head over and say hello and also read about all the rest of the things I talk to Luke about. And there may or may not be a super cute video (there is). Then after you read, click ye olde subscribe button so you can read the rest of her awesome blogs.
If you’re stopping by here from Taming Insanity, welcome. We’re not fancy around these parts (I am from West Virginia, after all). Sit a spell and watch some TV with me. I like:
Toddlers & Tiaras
The History Channel
Project Runway
and
other random shows like Intervention and Friends.
Do you enjoy baby smiles? What are your thoughts and feelings on Toddlers & Tiaras, since we’re talking about it?

I am addicted to Intervention…like I may need an intervention because I am so addicted to it. If I ever decide to smoke crack in my life I will know how.
Ok off to the insanity
I love baby smiles! one of my favorite ages is when they start smiling and showing some personality.
Toddlers & Tiaras? I can't stand the show, but if its on, I always get sucked into watching it.
I am a baby fanatic. A baby giggling is enough to make me crack up especially if they do that all over shaking giggle..
Toddlers & Tiras is a freaking trainwreck. It sucks you in every time. I know it's garbage. I know they're exploiting those kids & parents, but if I catch it on? I watch it every time.
And sadly, it has only reinforced my daughter's desire to own a crown & super large trophy.
Found you on Taming Insanity. Loving your blog. Thinking I'll stick around.
Just saw your guest post on KLZ. Love! Am now your devoted stalker.
Oh when babies start to smile and laugh…swoon!
I still haven't seen one episode of Toddlers and Tiaras. Can we still be friends?
I have to admit to never having seen Toddlers and Tiaras (hides head in shame)but from what I've heard? I'd be talking back to that TV set the whole time.
Glad I read you at KLZ's place today! I was following you on Twitter, but not your blog (hangs head in shame again)!
Stinky man, stinky!
Toddlers and Tiaras is a trainwreck from which I cannot turn away. Oh, the humanity! Now I have to check out the other blog to see the vid.
I can't bring myself to watch Toddlers and Tiaras. The mere concept makes me want to stab someone with a spork (sorry). It just seems so *unfair* to start telling girls they have to be pretty at such a young age
So…hopefully you don't hate me now! Would it make up for my previous statement to say that your son is sooo cute he makes my ovaries hurt?
Stinky is a great word. I agree with Luke.
love your post at Taming Insanity! awesome!
I don't watch Toddlers and Tiaras, but the new girl here in the office is trying to get prego (which is a whole nightmare in and of itself, in a crazy psychotic white trash kind of way) and swears if she has a little girl, she's gonna go and do the whole beauty pageant thing with her kid to give her self esteem. Oh my.
